Trained as a barrister, Gandhi became an anti-colonial activist and political ethicist, pioneering the philosophy of Satyagraha—a method of nonviolent resistance that inspired freedom struggles and civil rights movements worldwide.

Gandhi’s life of simplicity and moral courage ended tragically with his assassination on January 30, 1948, in New Delhi, but his legacy continues to influence generations.
